Once again this year, we’re organizing our Wine Tasting event in the Zaanbocht neighborhood of Wormerveer. On Friday evening, October 9, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., 18 businesses on Zaanweg and Marktstraat will open their doors to wine lovers. Each business will have two wines ready for you to taste. This evening is an excellent opportunity to taste various types of wine in an atmospheric setting—wines that have been carefully selected by the wine merchant Le Cockelon from Koog aan de Zaan. And of course, this is also a great chance to step inside businesses you’ve never visited before, take a look around in a friendly atmosphere, and get to know the owner and staff. And you’ll be supporting a good cause at the same time. For every glass sold, we’ll donate 1 euro to the Muk Foundation. Muk is a cheerful, spirited, and sensitive girl who suffers from childhood dementia. In the United States, there is a treatment that can slow the progression of her disease. This disease, called Sanfilippo syndrome, is progressive and irreversible. Every day that treatment is delayed means further damage to her brain. A lot more money is still needed to make the treatment possible. With your help, Muk can be helped and keep her smile.
