Working Together on the Zaanbocht

Through the Zaan Working Group, we are taking concrete steps to put the Zaanbocht area on the map. Both in the short and long term, we are working on tourism development, job creation, and improving quality of life. Tourism is a logical and important pillar of this effort, as we already outlined in our area vision in 2016.

The ongoing movement toward broad-based regional development and collaboration between Wormer and Wormerveer (municipality of Zaanstad)—including initiatives such as VisitZaanbocht.nl—is taking shape and garnering increasing attention. We would like to further emphasize the importance of this development for Zaanstreek-Noord. That is why we would like to discuss this with the members of the municipal councils of Wormerland and Zaanstad. This is an opportunity for Zaanstreek-Noord. Collaboration and connection provide a shared vision for the future. This will create a strong Zaanbocht that enhances housing, employment, the economy, and quality of life.
